Blackjack
Tips
Use
your chips to keep track of the (side) count.
You can use clock notation to represent 0 (12 o'clock) through 11
(11 o'clock) and different colours to represent positive versus
negative. Or you can use a single colour with clock notation running
from 0 to +5 to clockwise and 0 to -5 counter clockwise (6 o'clock
is not used).
Never
drink alcohol while playing.
Alcohol can adversely affect your judgment and cause you to be more
emotional and makes more mistakes.
Leave
the game when you start feeling fatigued.
You only have a slight edge over the house and it doesn't take many
mistakes to lose that edge. Players tend to make more mistakes as
they get tiered.
Scout
casinos for the most favourable house rules.
The house rules dictate your advantage and thus the amount of money
you can expect to win in the long run.
Keep
an eye out for casino promotions.
Casinos are always running promotions to keep players coming or
to attract new players. Look out for promotions that work well into
your advantage.
