KO
The KO
(Knockout) count is a single level, unbalanced card counting system
that is very simple and yet remarkably powerful. In the Knockout
card counting system, all card values are the same as in the Hi-Lo
system, except that sevens are counted as -1.

This
imbalance eliminates the need to calculate the true count from the
running count. The starting number for the running count, which
is called the initial running count (IRC), varies according to the
number of decks being used.
